About Paddock Points
Paddock Points tracks two numbers that rarely get explained well: the penalty points on every F1 driver's super licence, and the eligibility points junior drivers need to reach F1.
What the site does
- Penalty points tracker: every current driver's points, what each was given for, when it expires and how far each driver is from a race ban. Pick a future date to see how licences will look once older points drop off.
- Road to F1: the leading F2 and F3 drivers measured against the 40 super licence points needed to race in F1.
- Guides: plain-English explanations of the rules.
Where the data comes from
Penalty points come from the FIA stewards' published decisions, checked against reputable motorsport news trackers. Junior standings come from the official F2 and F3 championship results. The site is updated after every race weekend. If you spot a mistake, please get in touch and it will be corrected.
Who runs it
Paddock Points is an independent project run by an F1 fan and data analyst in the UK. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Formula 1, the FIA or any team. All team and championship names are used only to describe them.
