This policy explains what personal data Paddock Points collects, why, and your rights. Paddock Points is run by an individual in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller. Contact: hello@paddockpoints.co.uk.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we collect your email address so we can send you the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent. Emails are sent through Buttondown, which stores the list on our behalf. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Visitor statistics

We count visits using privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies and do not identify you. They record things like which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from, so we can see what is useful. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site.

Advertising

We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and measure them, and to personalise ads if you agree. When ads are active, a consent message lets you accept or refuse these cookies, and you can change your choice at any time. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may log technical information such as IP addresses to keep the service secure. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.

Links to other sites

The site links to news sources and official documents. We are not responsible for how other sites handle your data.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email us to make a request. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
